The 6th Annual Kids Konnected Golf Tournament

CHARITY HOLDS GOLF TOURNAMENT IN ORDER TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY PARENT WITH CANCER

Golfing for the children, this August, 16th, Kids Konnected will host their 6th annual Golf Tournament at the Bella Collina Golf Course

LAGUNA HILLS, August 4, 2010 – The southern California based charity that has been providing assistance and support to children who have a parent with cancer or who have lost a parent to cancer since 1993, will host its 6th annual Kids Konnected Golf Tournament on August 16th, 2010 at the Bella Collina Towne & Golf Club in San Clemente, California.  Kids Konnected will host a breakfast prior to the tournament and later celebrate with a cocktail hour and awards ceremony.

Thanks to generous sponsors like Yard House, Carl Warren & Co, and Alliant Insurance Services, tournament participants will have the opportunity to win prizes such as Angel’s tickets, a two night stay in Catalina, a golf swing analysis by Golfsmith, and a brand new TaylorMade TP Wedge. “This organization is passionately committed to providing support to those children and families who have been affected by a parent with cancer,” says Shawn Kraatz, Board Chairman of Kids Konnected. “We deeply appreciate the generous support of our sponsors and participants, it is with their support, that can we can continue to hold such momentous events and raise money for the programs that have become so important to these children and teens.”

All proceeds from the Golf Tournament go directly to support the mission of Kids Konnected, providing complimentary counseling, summer camps, bereavement workshops and cancer educational tools for children and teens with a parent with cancer, or have lost a parent to cancer.

About Kids Konnected
Kids Konnected began in 1993 in the bedroom of an 11 year old boy who knew there had to be other kids out there, who like him, were struggling with their parent’s cancer diagnosis.  What began as a hotline in his bedroom has grown into a non-profit organization that serves hundreds of Orange County families each year, thousands of families nationwide.  Kids Konnected provides free support groups, summer camp, and a teddy bear outreach package to any child or teen who has a parent with cancer or lost a parent to cancer.
